格伦科

格伦科两侧沿着 A82 公路陡然展开，村子则位于西端的利文湖畔。这里属于苏格兰西高地的洛哈伯，沿湖往西几分钟就是巴拉丘利什。村里有餐饮、住宿，也有几处适合雨天打发时间的去处。峡谷本身吸引徒步者前往 Aonach Eagach 等山脊，而村子周边较低的步道则更适合短途走走。这里的山地天气变化很快。夏季周末，穿过峡谷的 A82 公路沿线停车带很快就会停满，所以最好早点到，或者从村里步行出发。

去苏格兰格伦科前，你该知道什么？

村子位于 Coe 河注入 Loch Leven 之处，距威廉堡以南 16 英里，A82 公路旁。Glen Coe 就在房屋后方陡然升起，所以不用开太远，就能走山路、沿湖散步，也能直接到水边。

  • Glencoe Lochan 就在村子对面，隔着 Coe 河相望。Lord Strathcona 为思乡的加拿大妻子建了这里，还在周围种下了针叶树。Glencoe Lochan Trail 全程 2.5 公里，爬升 100 米，起点旁就有停车场。建议预留 1 到 1.5 小时。
  • Loch Leven 自 1972 年以来一直是 Glencoe Boat Club 的航行地，俱乐部基地位于村子和 Ballachulish 之间。想不坐船也看湖景，可以去 Loch Leven View Point。
  • 往返格拉斯哥和威廉堡的 Scottish Citylink 长途车会在村里停靠。向北到威廉堡大约要 30 分钟；如果你不开车，这会方便不少。
